The Smell of Summer

You know how there are often smells that remind you of something very specific..I find that happens to me a lot..yesterday I was going for a walk with Rogan (my dog) and all of a sudden I had a huge wiff of summer-the fresh smell of cut grass, and I'm not sure what else it was, but I could have stood there and smelt it all day. FINALLY I felt hope that summer is around the corner, and maybe, JUST MAYBE it will come soon. This weekend I will be doing a lot of yardwork if the weather permits (cross those fingers), so I'm sure the smell of grass will get old by the end of the day. But this is my favorite time when the tulips are popping up and the grass is green..oh I love this time of year!
