What a busy month!

I can't believe July is already over..OK, so this blog is a little delayed, I DO realize that we're already almost halfway through August, but STILL, this summer is flying by! I had a great month with Corinne, I tried to spend as much time with her as I could, but we had so much up that month..I wish I could have spent more time. Some of the highlights we did have was going to Pineridge Hollow for brunch (Corinne, my mom and I), and then going to get manicures and pedicures. The 3 of us went camping for a few days in Falcon..that time was perfect. We ate a lot of amazing food, read a lot, played games and of course laughed from dawn until dusk. I got to end off Corinne's trip by spending an entire day with her..she came over for breakfast and we spent the day shopping and then Folklorama...I miss my sister!

August started off by us getting a new puppy. It wasn't the least bit planned, and he kind of just wandered over to our house and that's how it started, but we fell in love. So now, the new addition to our family is LEONARD!

One more bit of excitement is I'm officially an Auntie for the first time. We've been waiting a long time for this, and it finally happened on Aug 11. My sister-in-law Heather was due early September, but went into labor and 2 hrs later Caleb Jeff Schapansky was born. He was 5 lbs 11 ounces and 19 inches long. I'm so excited to meet him in a few weeks!! I'd been looking for flights and already came to terms with not going there because it was just too expensive. They are coming out at Christmas, so I figured that would have to be good enough. To my DELIGHT I found a flight yesterday that covered Danny and I return for the same price I was finding for just me..woohooo!! I can't wait to see him. Sorry, no pictures of him yet, that'll come once I've been there!!

Along with all this excitement, tonight I'm picking up my cousin Becky and her boyfriend from the airport-they are from BC. They are staying with us just until sunday and then they head back home. Tomorrow Craig, Jeff, Danny and I are going to take them to Folklorama. Saturday we're having a bbq for any family that who can come and see them before they go and then sunday we may just relax..it'll be busy weekend, but I'm looking forward to it...one scary thing, they are vegetarians. I love meat, I do not know how to cook for meat haters, but I will do my best. They have already promised to help out a lot..well they actually offered to just do all the cooking, but I am always willing to learn knew things, so we will see, I just may be a pro by the end of this!!
