The Summer Widow

Danny in joking often refers to me as his summer widow because he has to work while he can in summer..which means leave early in the morning, and get home late at night. It's been especially bad over the past few weeks because his grandparents have been staying in their 5th wheel on our driveway, and doing some work around our house. We really appreciate all that they've done, and don't worry we ARE paying them..but this means when Danny comes home from work at, say 9:30, his gramps wants to talk to him and hear all about his day. That is great that we have such a good relationship with them, but this just means that between this and getting his truck ready for the next day, I'm in bed by the time he comes in. I was feeling rather neglected last week, so Danny decided to do a surprise date night for me. It was so sweet, he had it all planned out. I especially loved that he was sooo excited about it. Saturday I had to be ready to go at 5:30..he came home a little late like usual, madly got showered and dressed and off we went. First we went to Inferno's Bistro for supper. I've been there before (it was his first time), but oh would I ever recommend it, it is SO delicious! Especially this time of year they have a nice patio to eat on..when it is NOT RAINING!!!! So anyway, we had a wonderful dinner and then Danny surprised me with ACDC tickets. The only problem was that I was not at all prepared for a concert and came in heels and a tank top, so I quickly racked my brain and decided we could run into Superstore and find something. I quickly found a pair of flats and a sweater and then went to the concert. We had SUCH a good time together!! I just love date nights like that..
